The family have been pestering me for a while to let them keep some chickens.  I finally gave in to the pressure and started building a chicken coop.

Just about all the materials used to build the coop were waste.  All the wood had been given to me for firewood, including the door and gate.  The windows were also saved from going to the tip.  I did have to buy the roof tiles which were professionally fitted for me by my friend Mike Bowers from White Rose Roofing.
